At least this is true for Emeril Lagasse, who is currently working on a new cooking show entitled Emeril Green which will be featured on an up and coming television network Planet Green, produced by Discovery Communications.
Emeril acting coy
This dynamic new show will feature Emeril preparing innovative signature recipes just as in the past, however he will be working in a Whole Foods Market, incorporating Whole Foods ingredients and products. This seems a very fitting marriage for the two culinary dynasties. Not only does this serve as a cross-promotional act, it seems Emeril is taking the idea to heart, as he states, "I try a little harder every day to think greener and be respectful of our environment and our resources. On 'Emeril Green' we'll unearth how easy and fun it is to cook with what's fresh, tasty and in-season and find smart ways to make each day a little greener for you and your family."
The Whole Foods Crest
The new Planet Green network from Discovery will cover topical issues of concern for the more modern and progressive television viewer, who is ultimately interested in sustainable foods and a reversion to simpler living. This hypothetical demographic is already expected to shop at Whole Foods and possibly have some interest in culinary arts. It is a wise and profitable three-way marriage for all investors.
