Jessica Simpson and current Dallas Cowboy's Quarterback boyfriend,Tony Romo were in US Weekly magazine this past week. US Weekly claimed they had an exclusive story on the couple's plans to get married. OK! magazine contacted Simpson's rep who neither denied the story or made any attempt to play down the rumor, therefore it is believed that the whole stunt was done intentionally. Supposedly the news is nothing but a rumor and sources close to Simpson claim that she is known for leaking false information about her love life in order to get back in the spotlight or in this case on the cover of the latest tabloid magazine. To be honest I think this is a great publicity stunt. If Simpson did give out this information in order to "spark up talk" about herself, she definitely accomplished what she intended to accomplish. Simpson and Romo have not really had much attention since the ruckus she caused for attending the Dallas Cowboys games to support Romo when Cowboys fans blamed Simpson for their loss in the playoffs. Therefore, Simpson probably felt like it was time for the two to be talked about by the public again. If Simpson was this desperate to remain in the spotlight I think she knew exactly how to do it because the public is obviously interested in her and Romo's relationship. Especially considering Simpson is supposed to drop her new country album soon which has not received much attention and is not highly anticipated, she definitely needed this boost to stay on the minds of the public if she wants people to know about her new album. I give props to Simpson, just goes to show that if you use publicity correctly it can definitely help your career.
