The ALDO shoe company has recently joined forces with one of its charitable partners, YOUTHAIDS, to develop an AIDS prevention program around the world. ALDO’s and YOUTHAIDS mission is to gather funds to help spread out prevention of the AIDS/HIV disease. The campaign has spread around the world to more than 22 countries. Within the year of its existence, the program has raised over $2 million in support for their foundation. The ALDO and YOUTHAIDS foundation helped out nations such as Rwanda, South Africa, China, and Romania. The foundation launched programs that protected individuals from HIV infection, provided health products and services such as HIV testing and counseling. Some of the factors that the foundation used to aim to their audience were through television, education, and local community mobilization.
The ALDO and YOUTHAIDS campaign is an excellent aid for fighting the war against HIV/AIDS. This foundation is a productive campaign that is helping out the world promote AID awareness, and help those that are in need.
